Gucci, owned by Kering, owes €119.7 million; Chloé, owned by Richemont, owes €19.7 million; and Loewe, owned by LVMH, owes €18 million.
The European Commission said the brands have restricted retailers’ pricing freedom by enforcing fixed retail prices, maximum discounts and specific sale periods to reduce competition and protect their sales channels.
Kering said the fine was resolved following a cooperation procedure with Gucci and that the financial hit was provisioned in the group’s 2025 H1 results, while Loewe and Chloé both pledged stricter compliance following the start of the investigation in 2023.
The luxury sector faces mounting scrutiny, with brands such as Armani, Dior, Loro Piana and Tod’s under investigation in Italy for labour abuses, and several companies grappling with recent client data breaches.
