This revenue was brought in across 14 international fairs, a trade mission to Colombia and two projects with foreign buyers in Brazil, efforts supported by the Brazilian Footwear program, Abicalçados and with the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).

Abicalçados notes that this resulted in a return on investment of R$66 (US$12.62) for every R$1 (US$0.19) spent.

Letícia Sperb Masselli, Project Manager at Abicalçados, said: “In addition to the commercial promotion events, we have significant gains with image initiatives and training for international operations, which is not accounted for in income, but adds gains in the medium and long term.”
