Duhaney was one of ten young designer finalists whose leather creations were exhibited at the WLC using leather supplied by members of UNIC, the Italian Tanners’ Association. As well as a certificate, Ariane Duhaney has also won a trip to visit the upcoming edition of Lineapelle, taking place in Milan, October 2-4.

Her designs caught the judging panels’ eyes as she used high quality, natural vegetable tanned leather in a series of leather goods incorporating laser cutting. The award was presented by Alessandra Siena from Lineapelle, who said the standard of design and innovation from all the young designers was very high during the contest this year.
Since graduating from the Parsons School of Fashion, Ariane Duhaney said she has now established her own label, Ari500, and is preparing her next collection, which will feature leather. She was also looking forward to visiting Milan and Lineapelle.
