Valerio Garcia works for Faurecia’s, Pole of Competence and is based in Valencia, Spain as Leather Team Leader overseeing a team of seven specialists. His main function is to collect and summarise all the know-how for leather and cut & sew technology for Faurecia Interior System’s worldwide and uses his knowledge to create the standards and specifications for tools, machines, processes, etc within the business.
Valerio Garcia joins, Florian Schrey, Director of Design Europe for GST Seton Autoleather who will also be one of the key speakers at the conference in Shanghai on September 2.
The half-day conference will take place at the prestigious five-star Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel in the Pudong district of Shanghai. The timing and the location of the conference has been specifically chosen to be located opposite the Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre (SNIEC), the venue for the All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE), which takes place September 3-5.

Faurecia Asia operations
In March 2012, the company announced that it would build a new, 215,000 ft2 auto components plant in Dongguan, a city in southern China. In India, Faurecia employs about 1,600 people, 700 of which are engineers. Currently, it operates nine manufacturing plants and two technical centres in the country, representing its Emissions Control Technology, Automotive Seating (including leather), Interior Systems and Automotive Exteriors business groups.
