The leather information seminar is hosted by leather chemical makers Lanxess and is directed towards brands, testing agencies and other interested parties. Discussed in the seminar will be the preservation of the “Blue Angel” RSL guideline for wet-blue as an industry standard. Ther are approximately 60 attendees at the event.

Considered to be 100% safe for workers and consumers alike, the Blue Angel was developed alongside a scientific risk assessment, and in conjunction with the Federal Environmental Agency of Germany.

Over the two days, the symposium will discuss the major challenges arising from the new Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (MRSL) of the Zero Discharge Hazardous Chemical Campaign (ZDHC) as well as the increasingly stringent RSL (Restricted Substance Limits) and its impact on storing wet-blue and other semi processed leathers.
