Flesh side resin coating with Starface from Gemata

Starface is a patented rollercoating machine from Italian manufacturers Gemata, specifically designed to apply a chemical finish on to the flesh side of leather. Under current tanning practices, the leather that is to be coated on the flesh side is turned upside down and passed through a conventional rollercoater. Previously, it was impossible to include this process into a finishing line composed of machines which coat the leather on the grain side.
