The 29 Brazilian exhibitors reported good results from their participation at FN Platform, held last August 17-19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. According to Abicalçados (the Brazilian Shoe Manufacturers Association), US$1.3 million was secured in immediate business during the show and another US$10.8 million is expected in the coming months.

The Brazilian brands were very pleased with contacts made during the event, half of which comprised of new buyers from 40 different countries. A seminar, specifically organised for the Brazilian exhibitors, was held a day before the event,  during which they had a briefing on developing better relations with opinion makers to improve product communication.

The current political and economic crisis faced by Brazil, and an increasingly devaluated Real, mean manufacturers have to look for exports to obtain positive results. Read more here.
