This leadership announcement follows a significant decline for Kering in the first half of 2025.
Luca de Meo says he intends to build a “leaner and clearer organisation in which the best talent drive our Houses forward”. Gucci, he says, as the flagship of the Kering Group, deserves particular focus. He said: “Francesca — one of the most seasoned and respected professionals in our industry — will bring the leadership and flawless execution needed to restore the brand to its rightful place.”
Jean-Marc Duplaix will continue to serve as Group Chief Operating Officer of Kering, supporting Luca de Meo in both the development of the Group and the management of its organisation. As part of the restructuring, the functions of Kering’s Deputy CEO will be eliminated.
