This year’s event will be hosted at the Mövenpick Hotel Münster, offering a backdrop that organisers describe as blending historic character with a strong scientific community.

The two-day conference will feature around 20 expert presentations spanning research, industry and practical applications, with a focus on delivering new insights and fostering discussion across the leather sector.

A key highlight of the programme is the keynote address by Thomas Scholten of the University of Tübingen. His talk, titled “Global and regional nitrogen cycles and their influence by livestock farming”, will explore a topic of growing environmental and industrial relevance.

Alongside the formal sessions, organisers have planned networking activities, including a pedal-boat rally on Lake Aasee following the first day’s presentations. The evening will conclude with a dinner, providing further opportunities for networking.

Registration is now open, with organisers encouraging early sign-up as the industry prepares to gather in Münster for this year’s event.Read the full programme here: https://www.freibergleatherdays.com/program
