Since 2012, Valerio Garcia has been working for Faurecia as GTS (Global Technology & Standards) Leader for Leather in the Interior System division

His main function is to define the Company’s Roadmap for leather covering technology including the most suitable materials, processes, equipment and tooling. Garcia is also very involved with the Innovation Department in the development of new solutions for leather finishing, especially on dashboards and door panels.

His presentation will include market analysis regarding the leather activity in automotive industry and it will illustrate the latest leather covering technologies of interior parts made by Faurecia in its different global locations with a brief introduction about the leather process capabilities and focusing in some recent examples of automotive programs in which the company is developing different solutions for leather finishing in interior vehicle parts.

With 330 sites including 30 R&D centres in 34 countries around the world (in 2015), Faurecia is now a global leader in its four areas of business: automotive seating, interior systems and emissions control technologies. It is the world’s number one supplier of seat frames and mechanisms, emissions control technologies and vehicle interiors. Where and when

The ILM Automotive Leather Supply Chain Europe conference takes place in the Salon Pompadour of the elegant 5-star, Hotel Le Meurice in central Paris’s rue du Rivoli. The half-day conference takes place on Monday, October 17 (12.00-5.30pm) and features leading companies and speakers representing the entire automotive leather supply chain. Presentations will be in English only.

The conference has been deliberately organised to coincide with the end of the Paris International Motor Show, which closes in the French capital the day before. The date also offers delegates the opportunity to spend the weekend in Paris prior to the conference.
