Renault said it has implemented preventive measures and practices in line with the instructions of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey with regard to the COVID-19, and also considered the disruptions in the global supply chain processes, which have led the carmaker to gradually and temporarily suspend most of its operations as of March 26 in Oyak Renault Automobile Factories. “The production resumption date will be shared again according to the developments in the country and the world in line with the decisions of Oyak Renault and Groupe Renault”, said the Group.

The French automotive Group has also closed all its industrial sites in Latin America until further notice, “depending on the evolution of the health situation”. The measure concerns 9,000 employees over seven sites in four countries. Its Alliance manufacturing facility in India, Renault Nissan Automotive India in Chennai, has also been temporarily shut down, with all employees in the Group’s corporate and regional offices including Chennai, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Kolkata and Pune continuing to work from home.
