After two years without a show due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2023 event forms part of a series of events celebrating Indian leather for India Leather Week 2023.
Speaking at a press event ahead of the show, Council for Leather Exports (CLE) Executive Director R Selvam said: “Over 400 domestic and international companies will participate in this fair. Several entrepreneurs from across the world will display their products, technology and ensure that there is an exchange of knowledge.”
Sanjay Leekha, Chairman of the CLE, noted that leather products and footwear exports from India reached US$4.25 billion from April to December 2022 and the financial year is expected to end in March 2023 at US$5.7 billion if the pace is maintained, exceeding targets.
