Notably, the brand’s financial performance in the U.S. doubled in its 2022 results year-on-year, tripling the result of 2020.
Il Bisonte aims to open this store by the end of 2023 or the first quarter of 2024 and is currently scouting for locations on the West Coast.
CEO Luigi Ceccon said: “Opening a flagship store in the U.S. is about offering a touchpoint to the very same customers who buy Il Bisonte from department stores. We see the move as supporting our wholesale partners in the region.
“We’re investing a lot in digitalisation, but I think that the in-store experience remains paramount.”
Il Bisonte is primarily retail-focused, with 70% of its 2022 sales coming from retail stores, but only sells wholesale in the U.S., carried at large department stores.
In 2022, the brand’s revenues totalled €71 million, an increase of 2% year-on-year, and Ceccon predicts a jump of 6% in 2023 to €75 million.
