The latest podcast, titled “Perspectives on business conduct and environment in the leather industry”, features two audio articles written by ILM Consultant Technical Editor Karl Flowers. The first, “The great reset”, assesses the implications of the eponymous new business model, first coined by author Klaus Schwab in his book by the same title, on the leather industry, and the proposed shift towards achieving more environmental, social and governance (ESG) and responsible sustainability.

The second narrated article, “PBT – What are they?”, examines industry pollutants, biodegradability of chemical substances, the long-term chemical impacts on the environment, and how tanners take more meaning from these PBT classifications and debates.
