Awarded to young scientists under the age of 35, the research projects have to be conducted at a recognised institution in 2019. Celebrating its fifth year, the Young Leather Scientist Grant (YLSG) will award three different categories this time; IULTCS will provide the monetary sponsorship for a €1,500 grant to Basic Research; Italy based machinery specialist, Erretre, will sponsor the €1,000 grant for Machinery/Equipment; and specialty chemical manufacturer, TFL, will offer €1,000 for the Sustainability/Environmental grant.
“Our YLSG is getting stronger. Now in the fifth year, we are delighted to have two additional grants from TFL and Erretre to expand our research areas”, said Dr Luis Zugno, Chair, IUR. Details of the eligibility requirements and application forms are available on the IULTCS website www.iultcs.org. The submission deadline is November 30, 2018.
