This marks the end of more than five and a half years of collaboration with Louis Vuitton, where Coca has been a leading figure in luxury leather goods, working within the atelier led by Nicolas Ghesquière, who has overseen Louis Vuitton’s women’s collections since 2013. Coca rejoined the house in 2019, having first begun his career there in 1996 as a leather goods designer.

The Seville-born designer’s résumé includes senior roles at several major luxury brands. He worked at Bally from 2004 to 2010 before joining Celine, where he became Head of Design for leather goods, accessories, footwear and jewellery between 2010 and 2015. He later served as Creative Director at Mulberry for five years, expanding its offer with new handbag lines, eyewear and trainers.

Educated in art, architecture and design in Paris, Coca gained significant industry recognition for his contributions during the Phoebe Philo era at Celine, where his work helped elevate the label’s accessories to cult status.

Neither Coca nor Louis Vuitton has yet commented publicly on his departure.
