The decision to add these materials to its existing ban on fur has come after the company undertook talks with non-profit animal rights group and Kering shareholder Peta. Peta has responded by urging remaining brands selling angora to follow suit.
Kering confirmed the move to Peta in a statement, saying: “Kering’s implementation of the no-fur ban has been explicitly reinforced internally to ensure that no rabbit hair or skin is used by our brands.”
Earlier this week, Kering reported its first quarter results for 2023, achieving a group revenue increase of 2% to €5.1 billion.
