Six months after publishing its Kering standards for raw materials and production processes, the Group will share key experiences and projects in the luxury leather supply chain. Chiara Morelli’s presentation, “Crafting tomorrow’s luxury in the leather supply chain”, will be one of keynote presentations.
Chiara will be joined by John Graebin, Senior Materials Director, Deckers Brands and Thierry Poncet, Sustainable Development Manager, CTC Group as the three keynote speakers and panellists during the one-hour, “Sustainability and transparency in the leather supply chain”, seminar co-organised by ILM and Premiere Vision Leather (PVL). The free-to-attend seminar will take place inside hall 3 of the Parc des expositions de Paris-Nord Villepinte showgrounds in Paris between 3.30-4.30pm.
About Chiara Morelli
Chiara has a solid track record in the field of sustainability applied to operations, and throughout her career, she has developed a strong technical expertise by mixing process analysis and environmental know-how.
Chiara joined the Kering group in 2012, working for Sustainability in the Operations at Gucci. She then expanded her responsibilities in 2014 at Group level and is now accountable for all sustainability aspects of Kering own operations which include tanneries, logistics platforms, manufacturing companies and sourcing operations. Additionally, she is fully engaged in implementing Kering sustainability strategy along the Group’s supply chains from material traceability, animal welfare standards, chemical management to environmental performance.
Chiara is Italian and holds a conjunct 5-year degree in Environmental Engineering awarded by the Technische Universität Darmstadt in Germany and by L’università degli Studi di Firenze in Italy.
