Sena’s presentation, “Sharing key lessons from JBS’ LCA of Kind Leather and how this will help improve the image of leather”, gives an insight into the results of the company’s recent lifecycle analysis of its Kind Leather concept. Sena will explore the importance of proper data allocation and accurate calculation of the effect the different processes and stages within the leather making cycle have across the various environmental impact metrics. In addition, he will share how this information can be applied for a more efficient use of resources overall, and how this in turn can help improve the wider negative perception of leather. The presentation will show how leather can have a low or positive LCA score compared with other materials.
