Donated through the American Red Cross, the shoes came from the company’s brands LâMO Footwear and Oomphies, totalling a retail value of more than US$215,000.

The footwear was distributed on September 30 to residents affected by the Lahaina fire, with transport provided by LâMO Sheepskin’s distribution centre, PPM Fulfillment, as well as Carrier TQL and Carrier Front Line.

Brent Williams, Lahaina area resident and sales rep at LâMO Sheepskin, said: “The wildfires were devastating, and we wanted to show the people of Maui that the world is behind them. It’s changed their lives forever and as a company, we knew we could do something. We pulled together as many shoes as we could and shared our love and support for the islanders.”
