COTANCE said it acknowledges the need for a global campaign that promotes leather as a material, independently of the producing country or operator, and recommends the sector’s stakeholders to support the initiative developed by Leather Naturally. The Leather Naturally initiative is currently crowdfunding for a global leather promotion campaign targeted on the new generations, which has the objective of creating a “state-of-the-art multimedia platform” to promote leather so as to stimulate the leather consumption. The first part of the project is expected to last one year, but it aims to continue for a total period of five years.

Leather Naturally (LN) is holding a breakfast seminar on March 14 during APLF. All leather industry stakeholders can meet with members of initiative and hear Chair, Egbert Dikkers, together with the Management Board, give an update on the organisation’s progress and incorporation this year. The highlight of the presentation will be an update of the Leather Naturally initiative to create a global campaign to promote leather.
