Leather needs to divorce from plastic

ILM Content Director, Martin Ricker addresses the debate over plastics in both genuine leather and its alternatives. Criticising the widespread use of “corrected grain” leather, he urges the industry to reduce its dependence on fossil-based materials and focus on creating more natural, bio-based leathers before attacking alternatives.
