Co-organised by VGCT (the German Leather Chemists and Technicians Association) and FILK (the Freiberg based Research Institute for Leather and Plastic Sheeting), this year’s technical programme will focus on automation and Industry 4.0, new techniques in finishing and mechanical processing, basic leather research as well as sustainability as a permanent development for the industry.
The event will host speakers from countries such as Ethiopia, France, Italy, New Zealand and the UK. Representatives of the international tanning and leather sector as well as related industries such as chemical, engineering, automobile and furniture are expected to attend. The organisers will also host a dinner for all participants, hence, offering further opportunities for networking.
