Ayala succeeds outgoing Co-Chair Mike York of Tennessee Tanning Co (Rawlings) and will serve alongside current Co-Chair Dave Seaver of JBS.
Ayala said: “The role of our Association continues to be critical […] We are here to do better for the industry and the planet.”
The Board also appointed Skip Horween of Horween Leather Company as Treasurer and named David McCullough (Cargill) and Sarah Drayna (TFL Group) to the Executive Committee.
In related elections, the Board of the Foundation of the Research Laboratory of the Tanners Council of the United States at the University of Cincinnati appointed Tim Ng of CK International as Chair, with Paul Bell (Law Tanning), Drew Gullick (Hermann Oak), John Thompson (Tannin Corp) and Adam Simon (ISA TanTec) joining as new members.
“We thank our outgoing officers and board members for their service and commitment to the industry and to our Leather Research Lab,” said LHCA President Kerry Brozyna. “They have served us well as we navigated many challenges and opportunities. We are excited to welcome our new officers, Executive Committee, and Foundation Board members and look forward to taking the next step.”
