The LHTBI annual lunch and AGM took place at the Leathersellers’ Livery Hall in London to raise funds for former leather and allied trades workers who have fallen on hard times. Known as the annuitants, the charity provides financial support for day-to-day living expenses.

Nick Bryant, LHTBI President, said that a recent tour of the Lords Cricket Ground in London had raised £700 (US$952.50) for the charity in addition to the funds raised during the lunch.

A sponsored bike ride across parts of the South of France (Toulouse to Montpellier), organised by LHTBI Chairman, William Tusting, will take place in September to support the charity. He said a few places are left for anyone who wishes to join.
