The organisers of Lineapelle – A New Point of View said that rigorous safety procedures to guarantee the health of exhibitors and visitors will be put in place. “Together with the accompanying trade fairs, the event is an essential opportunity to contribute to the relaunch of strategic sectors of the Made in Italy supply chain and the manufacturing industry which, in recent months, have suffered heavy setbacks due to the pandemic”, said the organisers.

The Italian Tanners Association (UNIC) said the Italian leather industry “lost 32% of seasonal turnover and 24% of production volume” in the first five months of the year, compared with the same period in 2019, with exports of finished leather declining 35% in value and 26% in volume. The producers of accessories and components for footwear and leather goods, along with the manufacturers of textiles and synthetic materials, have also been affected by this negative trend.

The upcoming edition of Lineapelle – A New Point of View will host 320 exhibitors from 14 countries, who will showcase their Autumn/Winter 2021-22 collections based on the creative ideas developed by the Lineapelle Fashion Committee. The event will seek to combine the physical dimension with a series of digital projects, such as the ‘365 Showroom’, an online platform that operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, offering a digital marketplace where exhibitors can upload and promote their collections.
