Named after Le Bon Marché’s flagship address, the new website 24sevres.com is to sell over 150 luxury labels online, many of which are not LVMH-owned brands. The site, led by former e-commerce Director at LVMH’s Sephora retailer, Eric Goguey, is to feature video chats with Parisian stylists.
LVMH’s move into the digital arena is said to be motivated by the growing demand for online retail in the luxury industry as demonstrated by the success of global retail websites such as Yoox Net-a-Porter. As previously reported by ILM, in September 2015, LVMH appointed former Apple Inc. music executive Ian Rogers to expand the Group’s digital business.
24sevres.com is to ship products from France to over 75 countries.
