Aimed at strengthening the Italian presence in the U.S and increasing exports to the American soil, Carlo Calenda, the Italian Vice-Minister of Economic Development, should announce a €20 million investment later today (July 21) to develop trade shows, special events and services backed by a major media campaign.
Italian exports to the U.S totalled US$5.6 billion in 2014. Exports of clothing, textiles and leather goods, among others, increased considerably in 2014, contributing to a 4.5% market share growth since 2013.
