Zhang Mingfa (Michael Zhang), Vice-President of the Zhejiang Kasen Industrial Co Ltd (Kasen) will be one of the speakers at the ILM Automotive Leather Supply Chain conference in Shanghai. His presentation will focus on the opportunities and challenges of producing automotive leather in China and the Chinese domestic market to satisfy OEM customer requirements.

A leading China based upholstery leather maker for the automotive and furniture segments, Kasen is the largest automotive leather maker in China that is a privately owned Chinese enterprise. It has four tanneries, two wet-end tanneries, and one finishing department/tannery for furniture upholstery. One of its finishing plants is dedicated for automotive leather, producing 6.5 million sq ft per month. Most of its products (about 65%) are chrome-free for a number of FAW-VW models in China.

Kasen are headquartered in the leather manufacturing town of Haining, about an hours drive from Shanghai, and they have grown to become the leading automotive and furniture leather makers in China.
