The tour, which was organised in partnership with the Italian Trade Agency, began with an event in Berlin, Germany on December 1 before heading to Seoul, South Korea today, December 6. Finally, the tour will end at the Bruxelles Tour & Taxis Orangerie in Brussels, Belgium on December 14.

These teaser events are aimed at presenting some of the features of Micam’s next event, and to gauge the industry ahead of the Autumn/Winter season. The locations were specifically chosen due to their significant growth in Italian footwear imports during the first half of 2022.

Notably, exports of Italian footwear were up by 22.4% to Germany, 20.8% to South Korea and 29.9% to the Benelux Union, which includes Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

Micam will take place from February 19-23, 2023, at the Fieramilano Rho exhibition grounds in Milan, Italy.

Micam and Assocalzaturifici Chair Giovanna Ceolini said: “Exports are of fundamental importance in our industry and introducing an even broader selection of international buyers to Micam means multiplying opportunities for trade.”
