Kering originally committed to refrain from using fur across its Maisons in its 2020 Universal Registration document, which stresses that most of the Group’s Houses do not use fur. Gucci, for instance, one of Kering’s flagship brands, is part of the Fur Free Retailer program promoted by NGO Fur Free Alliance and has not used fur since 2017, while Kering’s other prominent brand, Bottega Veneta, is said to have not used fur in over 20 years. Kering’s Saint Laurent and Brioni fashion Houses are the only brands in the Group’s portfolio who have as yet not announced fur-free policies.
