Premium brands, emerging designers and market-leading labels met at the Olympia London to display their collections for the Spring/Summer 2016 season during the three days of Pure London, one of the most inspiring events of the buying calendar. Four pavilions were dedicated to garments, two to footwear and one each to handbags and accessories, while a large space was reserved for emerging brands. Two areas of the show hosted catwalks presenting the latest fashion trends and the many presentations by high-profile experts from the industry.

Among the speakers, Roger Saul, Founder and Former CEO of Mulberry, illustrated how he began in the fashion field and talked through the main moments of his career. The Queen’s Award for Export winner underlined the two most important concepts that an emerging design should always keep in mind: fashionability and network. Collections must be changed every season for a brand not to be wiped out, but even with the best products, the network one builds around its brand is crucial to grow and expand, he said.

In the premium footwear area there was a wide range of new leather models mainly in pastel or bright colours with darker shades also present.

Handbags on display were in more classical colours such as the evergreen black and beige, however tones of burgundy and dark green are getting a foothold.

Most of both exhibitors and buyers attending Pure London from all over the world were satisfied with the quantity and quality of the visitors.

The next edition will be held on February 14-16, 2016 which will also see the launch of the new menswear segment.
