The company submitted the request to a committee of the NYSE Board of Directors in early September, following an August notice that it had failed to meet the exchange’s continued listing requirement for an average global market capitalisation of at least US$15 million over a consecutive 30-trading-day period.
The review is expected to be scheduled for a first review day at least 25 business days after the request was filed.
Separately, Natuzzi said its controlling shareholder, INVEST 2003, has agreed to reclassify an additional €5 million of shareholder loans as an advance payment towards a future capital increase. The amount is expected to be recorded as an equity reserve on Natuzzi’s balance sheet as of September 30, 2026.
Aldo Uva appointed to board
The development comes as Natuzzi also prepares for a leadership change, with former CEO Aldo Uva appointed to the company’s Board of Directors. The company said it expects Uva to formally assume the CEO role in the first half of October, following an initial transition period with the management team. Uva previously served as Natuzzi Group CEO from May 2008 to March 2009 and is expected to lead the group’s industrial and operational turnaround.
