Nichols takes over from Bill Westwater, who has decided to step down after seven years in the position. Westwater will continue to work with the Group for a period of time to ensure a smooth transition.
UK based Xeros has developed a patented alternative to traditional aqueous-based domestic laundering systems as well as solvent-based commercial garment cleaning technologies. The technology seeks to reduce the amount of water consumed during textile wet processing and garment cleaning, therefore, reducing the costs of energy and chemicals consumed.
As reported by ILM last May, Xeros has partnered with the German leather chemical maker, Lanxess, to further develop the polymer bead cleaning technology in leather processing. Read more here.
According to Xeros, the Group’s results for the year to July 31, and current trading, are in line with the Board’s expectations.
