Effective January 20, Michael David, currently Vice President Client Development and Digital at Louis Vuitton is to become Chief Omnichannel Officer for the LVMH Group, while Franck Le Moal is to oversee the digital partnerships team in addition to his role as IT Director, LVMH Group. Le Moal has moved up to the Group level in October 2019, after almost 20 years as Chief Information Officer at Vuitton.
The new organisational structure, centered on omnichannel and data, is to be charged with “making sure that each brand will have a high-quality, state-of-the-art omnichannel approach”, said Toni Belloni said, Managing Director, LVMH Group. The French luxury fashion conglomerate has developed its e-commerce platform, which now accounts for about 15% of total revenues. However, Bellini said the physical stores remain “at the core of our distribution system” alongside each brand having a digital side, including direct-to-consumer touch points and an “infrastructure of remote customer service of high quality.”
