China is exporting more raw hides say CLIA

Total sales of Chinese domestic raw hides for export were worth US$9,493,500 between January and October 2013. An increase of 28.7% compared with the same period in 2012. Figures that have been released for October show an increase of over 43% in value.
Total Chinese raw hide exports on a monthly basis (by value) were as follows according to data released by the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA):

- January: US$652,900 +20.7%.
- February: US$813,380 +5.8%.
- March: US$953,300 +24.0%.
- April: US$878,900 +28.76%.
- May: US$1,032,100 -7.1%.
- June: US$1,048,200 +67.3%.
- July: US$1,134,100 +81.4%.
- August: US$1,142,600 +38.4%.
- September: US$1,100,300 +20.5%.
- October US$737,300 +43.7%.
