Factors holding the Bengaluru leather industry back

The Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Cattle Law in 2020 banned the slaughter of cows except for buffalos over the age of 13 - the first of a series of blows for the Bengaluru leather industry. A leather worker from Bengaluru (better known as Bangalore) predicts that the city’s tanneries will be gone within two years.
