The France-headquartered luxury conglomerate has announced that none of its houses, from Balenciaga to Alexander McQueen, will use animal fur from their Fall 2022 collections onwards.
The change began with Gucci in 2017 and will now encompass every brand under the Kering umbrella. In a statement, the group said the move was motivated by its aim to take the lead in sustainability.
François-Henri Pinault, Chairman and CEO of Kering, said: “The world has changed, along with our clients, and luxury naturally needs to adapt to that.”
