The latest luxury brand to increase exclusivity and resist resellers, Chanel has changed its sales policy for its most popular products and limited sales for one per product per year for each customer.

The limit currently applies to the Classic Flap Bag and Coco Handle, as well as small leather goods products for which there is a limit of two of the same product per year per customer.

Hermès also introduced limits for its bags recently, restricting customers to purchasing one design twice a year.
