Kering has appointed Matthieu Blazy as Creative Director of Bottega Veneta, following the departure of Daniel Lee last week, who had been at the helm since 2018.

Working as a ready-to-wear designer for the brand since last year, Blazy has previously gained experience at labels including Raf Simons, Maison Margiela and Calvin Klein, and was Senior Designer at Celine in 2014.

Kering Chief Executive and Chairman Francois-Henri Pinault said: "I am confident that Matthieu Blazy’s wealth of experience and broad cultural background will allow him to bring his creative impetus to the task of carrying on the legacy of Bottega Veneta.”

Blazy’s first collection will be released in February 2022.
