The meatpacker has announced a thank you for its frontline and hourly team members in the form of one-time bonuses amounting to a total of US$50 million.

For employees in the U.S., these bonuses will be based on tenure and will range from US$300 to US$700. This follows bonuses earlier in the year, which the company paid to fully vaccinated workers.

Tyson has also announced plans to offer more support to its frontline workforce including pay increases, signing bonuses, more flexible work schedules at some facilities and paid sick leave.

“This is yet another way for us to say thank you and show how grateful we are for our frontline teams’ efforts to keep each other safe, our company strong and our world fed over the past year,” said Donnie King, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tyson Foods. “While 2021 presented many challenges, our entire Tyson team continued to meet them head on.”
