French technological solutions provider Lectra has announced its financial results for the first half of the 2022 fiscal year.

The company achieved revenues of €250.8 million during the period, a year-on-year increase of 71%. EBITDA before non-recurring items was up 95% to €45.2 million. The company achieved net income in the first half of €20.2 million.

Lectra noted that the 2022 financial year so far has been defined by the war in Ukraine and its consequences, including the company ceasing its operations in Russia, suspending subsidiary Lectra Russia and stopping all deliveries of products or services.

The war affected costs and availability of energy and raw materials, but Lectra notes that it adjusted sale prices to compensate, in January and then in July.

Covid-19 lockdowns in China also impacted, causing delays in the delivery of CAD/CAM equipment, including a portion of that equipment manufactured in China, estimated at €2.4 million, which had not been recovered at the end of June. This is expected to be rectified by the end of September.

Looking forward to the full year, Lectra anticipates revenues in the range of €514-534 million (growth of 33-38%) and EBITDA before non-recurring items between €95-102 million (an increase of 46-57% year-on-year).
