At the upcoming ILM Automotive Leather Supply Chain Conference, the Leather Working Group (LWG) will present Driving transformational change: Leather Working Group’s traceability roadmap and deforestation due diligence.

LWG Traceability Manager Vanessa Brain will speak on how traceability is a critical tool to achieving sustainability within leather production, and challenging issues related to ensuring animal welfare and tackling deforestation hinge upon the ability of the leather industry to understand the origin of its material.

She will present the LWG’s traceability roadmap and plans for a mechanism to deliver transparency, along with tangible actions automotive brands and OEMs can take to address deforestation through due diligence activities.
