Germany based leather chemical maker, Trumpler and the Institute for Creative Leather Technologies in Northampton combined forces to take on 10km of mud in a fun run designed to leave the participants very, very dirty.

On October 19, a five-man Trumpler supported team made up of ICLT staff and students, competed against 2400+ intrepid athletes on a course around the Land Rover test site at Eastnor Estate, UK. The team performed well, beating some 600 other competitors and hope to repeat the experience again next year.

The run followed a presentation to MSc and final year BSc students on Sustainability and the introduction of Trumpler’s Sustainability Hierarchy, a useful tool for leather technicians, technologists and businesses in the journey towards sustainability in the leather industry.
