Luxury footwear brand Manolo Blahnik has reported record sales in 2021, the company’s 50th anniversary year.
The company achieved a turnover increase of 65% to €69.9 million during 2021, with international growth and global online development.
2021 was also a return to profitability for Manolo Blahnik, with profit before tax up to €6.5 million after a loss of €4.7 million in the previous year. Meanwhile, EBITDA increased to €8.8 million from €500,000 the year previous.
CEO Kristina Blahnik said: “Since the year end, we have continued to make excellent progress with exceptional sales and a hugely meaningful victory for the brand in the long-running trademark case in China which is a market we look forward to developing in the years to come.”
The company won a trademark dispute this year in China in a case which has been ongoing for 22 years.
