ICAP Leather Chem celebrate 70 years of finishing chemicals

Italian leather finishing chemical maker, ICAP Leather Chem whose roots go back to 1945, at the end of the Second World War, when leather chemicals were imported only from abroad is celebrating its 70th anniversary.

After 70 years of activity in the leather sector its production is sold in its home market of Italy and around the world. The family owned business, currently run by President Antonio Gandolfi, success has been dependant on the research and development of a range of new products and working closely with customers.

ICAP Leather Chem assist tanneries with a range of acrylic and polyurethane polymers. It also produces a line of waxes, nitroemulsions, touch modifiers and caseins for the modern finishing of leather for furniture and automotive upholstery, footwear upper and leather goods applications.
