Bridge of Weir seeking leather technologists

Bridge of Weir Leather Company is a privately owned Scottish Company operating one of Europe’s largest leather finishing production facilities. Here, people and technology come together in a unique blend of craftsmanship and advanced manufacturing techniques. The result is the finest quality upholstery leather which is exported to over 60 countries worldwide. We primarily supply to the automotive and contract design industries.

Within Bridge of Weir Leather Company, two fantastic opportunities have arisen for experienced automotive leather technologists for the dye/re-tan area and also the finishing area of our business. You will be involved in product development, research and development and production support and will contribute to achieving our product development and environmental strategy. We see the successful candidate adding value beyond the job description to ensure complete customer satisfaction whilst having a focus on the commercial aspect of our function and overall business.

Key Activities:

• Product development
• Conduct research and development activities and make recommendations to improve our operations
• Delivers against tight deadlines
• Support production to enable maximum efficiencies
• Builds and cultivates a partnerships with internal and external clients

Personal Qualities, Experiences and Qualifications:

• Strong automotive leather experience
• Strong Influencing and communication skills
• Highly motivated and energetic

• Fluent in English both written and verbal
