Turkish tanners seek new markets at APLF 2016

As the leather sector is facing a challenging outlook in the face of soft demand in all sectors except for the buoyant automotive sector the APLF day 1 took place in Hong Kong on March 30. The industry is subject to a world economy seeking direction with growth forecast at 3.4% for 2016 by the IMF – down from 3.6% last October – and China’s National Congress setting a “battling” growth objective of between 6.5% - 7.0% this year.
