Pollution notices fail to close Kanpur tanneries

A week after the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) issued a notice to shut down six tanneries in the Kanpur area for pollution and violating laws, the closures are yet to be initiated. The Regional Pollution Control Board claims it is yet to receive CPCB's written order and hence the delay.
