The French luxury brand is the last of LVMH’s Maisons to launch an e-commerce business.
The website is to be launched in France in the next few days before opening up to the rest of Europe and the U.S. in 2018. Celine is to use the online portal to test its clothing collections, shoes and ‘it-bags’ made of leather, which often have a retail price tag of over US$2,000.
Financial reports issued by the French conglomerate LVMH do not provide a sales breakdown of individual brands, but Celine’s annual revenue is estimated at €700-800 million.
